Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Local SEO Specialist to optimize our online presence for local search and drive targeted traffic to our physical business locations. You will be responsible for developing and executing local SEO strategies, ensuring accurate local citations, managing online reviews, and improving our visibility in local search results. Your expertise in local SEO best practices will be crucial in attracting local customers and boosting our business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Local SEO Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive local SEO strategies tailored to specific business locations.
  • Google My Business (GMB) Management: Optimize and maintain GMB profiles for all locations, ensuring accuracy of information, managing reviews, and leveraging GMB features (e.g., posts, Q&A).
  • Local Citation Building & Management: Identify and build high-quality local citations across relevant directories and platforms. Manage existing citations for consistency and accuracy.
  • Keyword Research: Conduct keyword research to identify relevant local search terms and optimize website content and GMB listings accordingly.
  • On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and schema markup for local search relevance.
  • Link Building (Local Focus): Develop and execute a local link building strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant local sources.
  • Review Management: Monitor and respond to online reviews across various platforms. Develop strategies to encourage positive reviews.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track and analyze key local SEO metrics (e.g., local rankings, website traffic, conversions) and provide regular reports on performance.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors' local SEO strategies to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other marketing team members (e.g., content, social media) to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest local SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.  
  • Proven experience in local SEO, with demonstrable results.
  • Strong understanding of local SEO principles and best practices.
  • Expertise in Google My Business optimization.
  • Experience with local citation building and management tools.
  • Proficiency in keyword research and on-page optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
