Join the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) as a Social Media Specialist and help bring our mission to life through engaging digital content.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global sport organisation dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of table tennis worldwide.

 

This position is ideal for growing professionals with experience in social media. You'll use your social media skills to expand our digital presence and engage with table tennis fans around the globe. You'll be responsible for creating engaging sports content that captures the thrill of table tennis competitions worldwide, from spectacular rallies and player profiles to major tournament coverage, while also highlighting ITTF's development initiatives that grow the sport globally.

 

Table tennis is a fast-paced and thrilling sport that has captivated billions. Youth, Senior, Para, Masters and Esports - the ITTF crowns World Champions and nurtures the next generation of players. Table Tennis is also on the programme of all multisport Games including the Summer Olympics and Paralympics. In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to attend these premier events, experiencing the action firsthand while creating compelling content from the heart of the competition

JOB TITLE: ITTF Social Media Specialist

 

LOCATION: Remote position, with on-site opportunities to cover major ITTF events worldwide.

 

REPORTS TO: ITTF Communications Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create and plan engaging content for ITTF social media channels in alignment with ITTF's communication goals
  • Manage daily social media posts across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Develop and maintain year-round content calendars, identifying posting opportunities based on ITTF's event schedule
  • Assist with campaigns that enhance fan engagement and event promotions
  • Provide live coverage of major table tennis tournaments, matches, and events
  • React to real-time game highlights, breaking news, and player updates
  • Develop creative approaches to maintain audience engagement during periods between major events
  • Build relationships with teams across the ITTF's global network to create unified campaigns that excite fans while maintaining our distinctive brand voice

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary education in Communications, Digital Marketing, Media Studies or related discipline, preferably with exposure to the sports sector
  • At least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in social media content creation and management
  • Fluent English communication skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse team environments
  • Familiarity with basic video editing and graphic design applications including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. 
  • Familiarity with best practices across major platforms, including but not limited to  Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn etc.
  • Innovative thinking with the ability to plan and create distinctive content that captures attention in competitive digital spaces
  • Able to transform complex information into compelling social media narratives
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to adjust working hours during major events and competition
  • Able to travel internationally for events

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of table tennis is advantageous 
  • Enthusiasm for sports
  • Background in sports media or event promotion
  • Multilingual skills is a plus
  • Familiarity with International Federations and the Olympic/Paralympic ecosystem
  • Prior experience covering live sporting events on social media

 

Employment Type: Full-time position (Part-time options may be considered)
